COUNT Steering Committee

The COUNT Steering Committee meets ~quarterly on the 5th Wednesday of the month. Although only steering committee members can vote, any COUNT member is welcome to attend. We will be discussing current and proposed projects and upcoming meetings.

*** We are collecting cash donations for the Meetup fee at this meeting. ***

After our business concludes, we would love to spend time hanging out, having a few more drinks, and getting to know one another.

Atheist, agnostics, other non-theists, and atheist-friendly people are welcome to join us.

Meeting Agenda:

6:30 Introductions/Get Settled

7:00 Welcome, Projects Status/Ideas, COUNT Steering Committee motions (if any)

FYI, dinner & drinks are available at our meet-ups but you don't have to order dinner or drinks to attend.

Note: COUNT operates a Facebook page at to promote discussions among members and visitors.

Last night's SC meeting was quite productive. The following motions were approved (all with 4 votes for):
    - 2017 DOR Proclamations Request Project (Dave will be scheduling a meeting in Jan with Mike and perhaps Gail)
    - Columbus CoR Land Grant Brewing Happy Hour Fundraiser Project
    - Bonifacio will be the default restaurant for 2017 SC meetings on 3/29, 5/31, 8/30 & 11/29.
    In addition:
    - Mike will be investigating a project with ODNR to monitor stream quality (and possibly having a discussion topic regarding this).
    - Gail is investigating a project to publish Somali writings (and may move a 3rd Weds meeting to a Somali Restaurant) to counter expected anti-Somaili backlash to recent violence at OSU.
    - $10 in donations was collected reaching the amount needed for the next meetup fee - Thanks!
