Dawn Owar is hosting the (10th annual) Gathering of People not Celebrating Xmas and has invited Columbus CoR groups:
"Those of us who don't celebrate or aren't celebrating Christmas need something to do on Christmas Eve!! Traditionally we get together and "not celebrate" all together at one of the local bars. This will be our 10th year! If you're Jewish, Atheist, Humanist, or whatever else, don't sit home feeling sorry for yourself. There's a place you belong. Invite anyone you know who doesn't celebrate or isn't celebrating Christmas this year.
"No need to RSVP you can't make it because you have a family gathering, if that's the case, this party isn't for you anyway!! All such comments will be deleted promptly, but you can join us later after you get sick of them and want to hang out with fun people.
"This year we're doing it at one of the newest hippest bars in town, The Oracle. They're located in Olde Towne East and known for cheap beers and fancy cocktails. They don't have a kitchen but they're happy for us to bring our own snacks to share with the group. Starts at 7pm, Come and go as you please, we will be there till close.
"Please send out invites! This is open to the public. Everyone is invited to join us, just remember to bring your wallet, buy lots of drinks, tip your bartender like they're working on Christmas Eve, and have a safe way back home."
