What we're about

Group for professionals in NYC who want to practice public speaking in-person and get more comfortable in front of an audience. Meetings are open to the public and and each person gets 3-5 minutes in front of the group. You can present something, tell a story, answer questions, etc. You can also just join and there's no requirement to speak. We will practice social distancing.

I have found many toastmasters groups have gone completely virtual, but I think this is much less effective than in-person. So we will be meeting at the park entrance in Columbus Circle.

Transitions are quick and meetings last about an hour. We meet every Thursday at 7pm in Central Park (we'll gather at the park entrance by Columbus Circle). Also because there's a limited number of spots each week, please only RSVP if you actually plan on coming! Thank you!

On meeting location: In the warmer months, we will be meeting at the park entrance in Columbus Circle, directly behind the golden statue facing the park. We will then walk to find a quiet place nearby where we can stand in a circle and practice. In the colder months, we will find a space in the Shops at Columbus circle inside where we can practice (typically by the Sephora there's an open space).
