Agricola an EPIC game about...farming...in the 17th century. You and your family members vie for resources against competing families over the course of 16 rounds to see who in the will be the most prosperous (measured in victory points).
I had a couple of request to play Agricola this past Sunday, however it was a bit later into the meetup and the request came to me in a scattered fashion. With that in mind I am posting this here to see if I can get these people (and maybe a few more) in one place at one time.
I'm very willing to teach Agricola, however it is a heavier game. With that in mind I would recommend that you have played a game with a worker placement mechanic before and be ready for a game that is about 45 minutes per player when mostly composed of newer players. The rules should take about 30 minutes to explain so as to give a basic familiarity. I dislike throwing players into a game with the mindset of 'We'll pick it up as we play'
