Third Saturday Board Games - Civilization: The Expansion Project

Like the Avalon Hill
Civilization board game, the
Expansion Project covers the development of ancient civilizations from the invention of agriculture c. 8000 B.C. to the emergence of Rome around the middle of the third century B.C. However, rather than leading a nation of peoples over a mapboard of the Eastern Mediterranean and Near East, now the map stretches north to the British isles, west to Spain, and east to India! We've played with 7 to 12 players, and our goal is to reach a full game of 18! Please plan on playing until midnight, or have someone lined up who can fill in for you if you plan to leave earlier. (If you want to volunteer to be a replacement, RSVP 'No', and say that you can be a replacement so that interested players can contact you.) There will be breaks for lunch and dinner, with several dining establishments in the area. Also, the game will begin by 11 am. If you have never played Civilization: The Expansion Project, you must arrive by 10 am, so that the
rules may be explained. Note: If there are 8 or fewer players at 11am, we will play Advanced Civilization instead!

Amazing! We finished a 9 player at 4am. NOT decided to end at turn X, but finished!!! No subs, everyone stuck it out. Less than 1.5 hrs per player!

If a person was wanting to visit the game day but not necessarily play, is that acceptable. Also, new to meetups, is it a requirement to rsvp?
