If you love Jane and her works, this is the place for you. We'll have general discussions, book club meetings, film screenings and so much more!
In an effort to keep costs low, we ask that each member donates $5 per year, if you are able. You can donate online by clicking the green "Chip In" button located on the left hand side of the meet up page.
The Central California region of JASNA (http://jasnacencal.org) will be meeting to discuss Jane Austen's Emma. You are encouraged to bring your favorite mug/tea cup and a treat to share. More information can be found on their Facebook event:https://www.facebook.com/events/1064070353801518/.
The Jane Austen Society of North America (http://www.jasna.org/) is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers and dedicated to the enjoyment and appreciation of Jane Austen and her writing. The Central California region of JASNA generally covers Kern, Kings, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties in California, and points outward. Most meetings happen in the city of Fresno, but the occasional gathering in cities to the north and south are on the horizon. The region hosts book discussions, talks and lectures, and costume or social events related to Jane Austen and the Regency Era.
*Please note that this book club (The Central Valley Jane Austen Book Club) is not affiliated with JASNA. However, many of our book club members are also members of JASNA and this is a great event to meet other Janeites!*
