Vegan Night Out

Vegan Night Out in downtown Harrisonburg is a dining and film event for vegans and the veggie-curious alike!
First, enjoy delicious vegan fare from 5-7 p.m. at participating restaurants. They will be offering a vegan appetizer and entrée as part of the event (prices vary by restaurant). You can choose from:

- Earth & Tea Café, 120 South Main Street
- Blue Nile Ethiopian Cuisine, 181 North Main Street
- Friendly City Food Co-op, 150 East Wolfe Street
- The Little Grill Collective, 621 North Main Street
Also stop by Capital Ale House-Harrisonburg at 41 Court Square for some vegan-friendly beers after your meal.
Then, stick around for a FREE screening of the film Vegucated. Part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, Vegucated is an award-winning, guerrilla-style documentary that follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. Lured by tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture and soon find themselves risking everything to expose an industry they supported just weeks before. There will be free vegan smoothies from PULP and vegan cupcakes; information; and samples & coupons from Mary's Gone Crackers, Navitas Naturals, Field Roast, Primal Strips 6:30-7:30 in the Court Square Theater lobby. The film will start at 7:30, with discussion to follow...and door prizes!
