Join our Zen meditation meetup at this peaceful and relaxing space in the heart of downtown Toronto. We are here to support each other with the challenge of keeping our practice regular in spite of our many obligations.
We will start at 6:00pm by introducing this practice, what you should and should not expect from it, and how to approach it in order to make the most of it.
The guided section happens between 6:15 and 7:00. The host will help you fix your breathing and posture, and give you tips to control your thoughts, restlessness, and physical discomfort. We'll then do some gentle stretching exercises and at the end we'll try meditating in silence.
All levels are welcome. You can either sit on a chair or on a meditation cushion. The space will be open until 8:00 for those who arrive late or wish to continue meditating on their own, or would like to have a meaningful conversation while sharing healthy snacks and beverages.
Feel free to bring a change of clothes to make your practice more comfortable. There is no cost for this event but donations ($5 suggested) are greatly appreciated.
