Day 1

Flight from US to Peru

Upon arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima.

Day 2

Lima City tour

Our guided visit to Lima allows you to see the Historical Center: Plaza Mayor ("Main Square"), the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit a historic convent, an icon of colonial architecture. The tour goes all the way to modern district of San Isidro, where you'll appreciate Huaca Huallamarca, a pre Incan pyramid made out of adobe, and end up in the touristic district of Miraflores, where you will observe the Pacific Ocean coast from the vast seafront. Overnight in Lima.

Day 3

Flight to Cusco - Transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas

At scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco city. Upon arrival in Cusco you will be met by a tour guide and transferred to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Rest of the day at leisure to rest and get used to the altitude. Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day 4

Authentic Sacred Valley Tour

Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas through this route starting on the Inca's Balcony, a beautiful terrace with an impressive view of Chinchero, where twelves families still preserve their traditional costums, showing you the ancestral way in which they process the wool, and obtain those vivid colors for their textiles.

Afterwards, we'll tour Ollantaytambo, one of the most monumental architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire, one of the few places where the Spanish conquistadors lost a major battle. Very well known for its “andenes” (terraces dug into the slopes of mountains for agricultural purposes), Ollantaytambo was a highly effective fortress, that also served as a temple. Later, journey to the town of Ollantaytambo, “the unique living Inca town”: the best surviving example of Inca city planning, with narrow cobblestone streets that have been continuously inhabited since the 13th century. Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day 5

Machu Picchu Tour

This excursion will be by train. Enjoy amazing views of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, board the bus to the citadel, an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will recount the history around this mysterious and charming place. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the zone on your own, relax and meditate. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant is included. In the afternoon, board the train back and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 6

Sun Route Cusco to Puno

After breakfast, transfer to the bus station for our excursion to Puno. Stop at Andahuaylilas, a town that is home to the "Sistine Chapel of America", a colonial church noted for its sixteenth and seventeenth century murals. Visit Raqchi, an Incan archeologocial site showcasing typical terraces, public baths and aqueduct systems. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the small town of Sicuani, before traveling on to Pukara, noted for its great pyramid built by the first developed civilization in the region.

Day 7

Lake Titicaca & Islands Tour

After am early breakfast at your Puno hotel, your professional tour guide will greet you to begin the full-day tour fo Lake Titicaca and nearby Islands. Arrive at Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, take a boat excursion to the Uros Floating Islands, a collection of man-made islands constructed from floating bundles of reeds. Enjoy leisure time to shop for souvenirs in the market and explore these floating wonders. A two-hour boat ride across Lake Titicaca to Taquile Island, home of a Quechua community which continues the tradition of having male residents produce fine handicrafts. Leisure time to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site and take in the beauty of the surrounding areas from the citadel at the Island's peak. Group lunch on Taquile Island. Final night dinner at a local restaurant in Puno.

Day 8

Sillustani Excursion and Lima Arrival

On the way to the Lima airport, stop at Sillustani. You will have the chance to observe impressive examples of pre-Inca architecture considered masterpieces even by modern architectural standards. Huge funerary towers are set in spectacular landscapes formed by the surrounding mountains and lagoon. Archeologists continue to find traces of different cutures overlapped in this region. Continue to Juliaca airport and your flight home.
