9 people showed up even tho the weather was unpredictable. Nice calm water, pretty sunset and a full moon that showed up at the end!

Great night on the water. Started out with 8 people and then Jamie M. joined in.

Even though the moon was elusive, the sunset was spectacular! Warm breeze, beautiful night. Great time, everyone!

Sorry we missed y'all! It ended up being a beautiful paddle even though the moon was elusive. The sunset made up for it! Next time.....

We saw just a bit of the moon, but no rain either.

Because of the threatening weather forecast, and no full moon
anyway, I think it's best if this paddle is cancelled for tonight.
    I won't be going.

Ok, so weather - when will you know if this is going to happen? It is raining in Rutland area currently. When will you call it one way or another?

Not raining here yet, but clouds rolled in pretty recently. Weather bug says 35% chance of rain during the trip time, decreasing toward the end. Normally if it's light rain, some people still go and some don't. That would take some of the charm out of a "moonlight" paddle.

So what is meant by safety light? Please advise. Thanks!

Thanks Don. I have a head light and another light I can wear around my neck. I think it will be all good :)

Sherry and I also had lights that mount to our PFD but we broke them while practicing.

Burlington Coast Guard says that you need a hand held flash light that can be pointed at on coming boats. They would like you to have a 360 deg light mounted but it is not required. I have a small waterproof light that I picked up at Hannafords and Ace hardware.
