Tighten your seatbelts for an amazing speaker. Retired USAF Lt. Pilot Jim DeVoss flew a F-105 in Vietnam. He was considered one of the best flightier pilots in the United States fleet. Although his topic is “Air Rescue and Recovery Operations” it's much more than that.
His presentation is very interesting, informative and very well planned. He was shot down over Vietnam and had to eject at over 600 kts which just about ripped him apart. He was not expected to survive. But the “Air Rescue and Recovery” team that did rescue him was actually filmed, which was extremely rare! He will be showing that video and telling about his experience of ejecting, being recovered, survival and his subsequent medical recovery.
His story is really amazing and inspiring. And it is a great tribute to the air rescue personnel and the value that is placed on every individual. Everyone is welcome, so invite your friends and please join us! We may need a different location, maybe Base-ops, Jim's story is worth bringing friends to hear.
