This is guaranteed to be one heck of a DANCE social. GUYS, you better tune up your dance shoes to keep up with the ladies. LATEST WEATHER FORECAST IS SUNNY & MILD.
At our last event at the Mad River Bar & Grille on Fri. Nov. 15 (where about 85 of us attended), one of our Minglers who was there, Steve Hardy, invited us next door to Molly Darcy's Pub to watch his band begin playing at 9pm. Of the approx. 25 of us that went next door, I was the only one not dancing (muscle pull earlier in the week). And we're discussing most everyone dancing non-stop. Those who were there know what I'm talking about.
Well the Mad River was able to get us this very same band, The Stilettos, as Mad River usually doesn't have live music on Thursdays. I guarantee no one will stop dancing. So let's have some fun and a good turnout about a week before Christmas.
Here's a little bio on the Stilettos.
“The Stilettos” is a high energy dance band that really works a crowd and gets the audience involved with their show. They perform a mixture of Soul, Motown, R&B, Blues, Lite Rock & Reggae from various artists including, “Stevie Wonder”, “Wilson Pickett”, “The Beatles”, “Aretha Franklin”, “Sam & Dave”, “Otis Reading”, “Bob Seger”, “James Brown”, “Creedence Clearwater Revival”, “Marvin Gaye”, “The Rolling Stones”, “Bob Marley”, “K.C. & the Sunshine Band” and many more. Their sole performance mission is to get the party started and the audience on their feet.

It's indoor area is large with massive ceilings (was once a Seaman's Chapel) and there is an outdoor bar and patio. In addition, there's also a hostess at the front door to welcome us in. We should mention that we are part of a Meetup group to get a wrist band on our left hand so we can identify us to ourselves and to the staff. The Charleston Social Group for Singles will be once again joining us. The total combined RSVP count as of Thu., the morning of the event is an even 100... WHOA
