NYE small party(40 max)@Folly B.House+Main St+Fireworks-crash overnite

  • Vic's Residence

301 W Hudson Ave, Folly Beach, SC (map)

    32.654449 -79.945923

  • directional map is included
  • A small & casual NYE party of no more than 40 with my house serving as home base (park your car once & enjoy all walk-to NYE activities on foot). Small because I won't move furniture around, nor set up extra tables as when I hold my larger Super Bowl parties to accommodate much more.

I'll have a 24 pack of beer and some bottles of wine at hand, but otherwise bring what you will be drinking, snacking on or grilling; as this will be a serve yourself party. The front beach is seconds away, restaurants, bars and fireworks a five minute walk away. Parking will be easy in my subdivision, as very few even know this subdivision exists. Come as early or as late as you wish; this will be an all evening/night New Year's Eve "no fuss" party for us.

If you feel you shouldn't be driving after the party, you can sleep over and walk over to an oceanfront sunrise breakfast and Polar Dip by the Tides hotel's outdoor patio area the following day. The house sleeps about 15.

We had a great party last year and joined others at many of the bars around 10:30 pm. No cover charge at any bars at Folly, with abundant live music and ambience. We then enjoyed the fireworks beachfront right in front of us from the parking lot of the Tides Hotel (not to mention the Folly Flip Flop Drop on Center St.). On the way back to my house, we dropped in to Loggerheads bar for "the last dance". Almost a dozen slept over, not wishing to drive. Breakfast followed for most.

No one at Folly Beach owns the first 10 ft of their front lawns, so you can park there as long as your tires don't touch the pavement & you otherwise follow customary parking rules.

I'm in. I don't think I'll confuse the day this time either. LOL I'm looking forward to it. I'll be showing up stag. Wow, I actually used that word. That came out of the '80s I think.

Cleo, reason why I haven't allowed guests to be included is I want members to have first choice. If by NYE there are less than 40 attending, bring your guests anyway. Let's play it by ear.
