Slow/Moderate Vinyasa Flow Class

Join me for a 1-hour slow/moderate vinyasa flow class. All levels are welcome. I really believe Yoga is not about how flexible or fit you are, but rather, meeting your body where it is. Using accessible sequencing, I will guide you through a few warm ups, sun salutations, basic standing poses, and forward/backward bends. Poses will be broken down to guide you into more optimal alignment and alternatives will be offered to build your strength, flexibility, and body awareness. We will explore pranayama(breathing practices), relaxation techniques, and meditation. I encourage you to leave all seriousness at the door. Join me to calm the mind and align the spine. Kailyn Ryan, Certified Yoga Teacher, {RYT-200}

Initially I began a yoga practice as a form of exercise. Having a more introverted type of personality kept me from attending a regular studio yoga class so I practiced using Youtube for 2 years. Shortly after moving to Charleston, SC I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended my very first yoga class. I was immediately drawn back for more. My practice went even further after I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. I let the teachers be my guide and eventually I developed a deeper form of practice that helped me both physically and mentally in my life on and off the mat. Yoga has helped me learn to relax, challenge myself, heal past trauma, cope with anxiety and pain, and really become more at ease with myself. My goal is to guide others on their own yoga journey, which will hopefully lead them to finding a more balanced lifestyle. I completed my yoga teacher training at Holy Cow Yoga Center and I am a certified RYT-200 hour teacher. In the future I would like to specialize in yoga as a therapy so I can guide others that are faced with the perils of chronic illness in their daily lives.
