Camping location: We are aiming for 198 E. Water St. (right or front end of park), section near right side of big gazebo. Lynda, Ross and company will try to get there early Thursday and rope off an area for at least 20 tents. Tip: when you first arrive, try to find our camping location, claim your spot by placing some of your gear on the grass where you want to set up. Then go to check-in location.

The 2018 Cycle NC Coastal ride is an epic 3-day excursion featuring coastal scenery, flat roads, low traffic counts and the wind at your back. With multiple route options offered each day ranging anywhere from 10 miles all the way up to 100 miles, the Cycle NC Coastal Ride has something for everyone. Whether you are a newbie or a seasoned veteran, the Cycle NC Coastal Ride has a route just for you. The best part is, you start and finish from the same location so there's no hassle of moving camp each day.

All routes are fully supported with rest stops every 10-20 miles, Support And Gear vehicles (SAG’s), and the Cycling Spoken Here bike mechanics. The rest stops or aid stations, feature FREE snacks, drinks, water, pb & j sandwiches, restrooms and an opportunity to dismount, stretch and explore the area.

Lodging: outdoor and indoor camping (included in registration fee). Hotels, B&B and RV camping also available.

Overview:

The Coastal Ride features a variety of routes each day, all varying in distances and suitable for cyclists of all skill levels. Route distances range from an easy 5 mile around town up to a Century option. SAG support will be offered throughout the weekend for all routes. Rest stops will be featured on designated routes every 10-20 miles when possible.

All routes are loop rides that start and finish each day from the waterfront campsite. There’s no moving camp each day so plan to park your car for the weekend!

Route options range between 10 miles up to 100 miles. Routes are not final until the CNC staff make the final check one week prior to the event. Electronic versions of the turn by turn route sheets will be available one week prior to the start.

In addition, routes will be offered through Ride With GPS which features turn by turn voice commands right from your phone and download options for a variety of GPS devices.
