Welcome to the online study group! With our first 2 study groups we've come to the realization that it would be beneficial for us to have an introduction to SCSS (and a little BEM) which is what we will use throughout the duration of the study group. Therefore this time that's what we are going to do. Some of you may have a good grip on this but for others we are going to start from the basics of SCSS and work our way up in complexity until you fully understand a scale-able SCSS architecture, can utilize it to your benefit and customize it to your liking. Some features of SCSS we will study:
This study group is intended for anyone who wants to level up their HTML and CSS skills and is especially useful for individuals new to the industry or looking to get started. We'll host hands-on sessions that include semantics, accessibility and other best practices. The study group will be led by Adam Wells. The typical structure will have Adam introducing a front-end challenge to the group, then step back and let everyone begin working on the challenge. Adam will be there to guide everyone by answering questions and demonstrating examples if needed.
The study group will meet bi-weekly using the video meeting service Zoom. We hope this will provide the group with easy access so that more members of our community can attend.
