What we're about

***The quantity of RSVPs do not necessarily represent the actual quantity of participants for any given event. Lots of folks show up without RSVPing.***

----------

"It's not about the journey. It's about the people you meet." -Del Close, improvisational theatre and mindset icon

----------

Improvisational theatre (and the improvisational mindset) is my/our passion.

And what good is having a passion, if you/we don’t share our passion with others ?

Whether you are an improvisational veteran or have never taken an improv class or workshop in your life, you are cordially invited to join us.

Whether you want to learn new improv skills, sharpen your existing ones or discover ones that you never knew you already possessed.

Reasons you may want to join us:

1. To smile, laugh, have a good time, and have fun.

2. To learn spontaneous skills for life.

3. To learn improv skills for your personal life.

4. To learn improv skills for your professional life.

5. To learn improv skills for your spiritual life.

6. To learn improv skills to make yourself a better, more castable, more employable actor/actress.

7. To learn improv skills to perform with us, the Chuckleheads (my/our improv troupe) or to improve your performance(s) with your own existing troupe.

8. Any other reason you may have.

I (Scott Pacitti) am an improvisational theatre veteran (actor, comedian, host, director, facilitator, teacher, business founder and owner) who has been sharing my passion of improvisational theatre/the improv mindset with pre-k children through senior citizens and every age in between for 16 years.

We look forward to meeting you and enjoying your talents.

(All ages are welcome with the understanding that since it is unscripted, our sessions may contain adult language and/or situations.)

Never hesitate to contact me with any questions or with requests for more information about our ongoing sessions.

(If you are attending a session for the first time, feel free to contact me to make sure that an upcoming session has not been cancelled for any reason.)

AND ALWAYS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR BEST TO BE ON TIME. ALTHOUGH WE UNDERSTAND THAT LIFE SOMETIMES INHIBITS AND/OR DEFEATS OUR BEST LAID PLANS.

And last, but not least, here are our ongoing goals for every session:

We Will Welcome Everyone.

We Will Be Fearless.

We Will Think and Speak Positively.

We Will Be in the Moment.

We Will Have Fun.

We Will Smile.

We Will Laugh.

We Will Learn.

We Will Be Judgment Free of Others.

We Will Be Judgment Free of Ourselves.

We Will Respect, Enjoy and Appreciate the Talents of Everyone.

We Will Respect, Enjoy and Appreciate Our Own Talents.

We Will Listen to and Respect the Opinions of Everyone.

We Will Compliment and Encourage Each Other.

We Will Respect and Honor the Improvisational Mindset.

We Will Respect and Honor the Art Form of Improvisational Theatre.

We Will Respect and Honor the Improvisers Who Came Before Us.

"Always do what you are afraid to do." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Improvise a wonderful life until we communicate/cross paths again.

The Empower Improv Hour + 1

Online event

No matter how many or how few join us at our weekly sessions, we use applied improvisation to entertain, educate, stretch our creativity and imagination muscles and teach real life skills that can help all ages in all professional, personal and creative lives. We are: positive; kind; creative; imaginative; fun; adventurous; collaborative; trustworthy individuals from all walks of life and professions who meet once a week (sometimes more) to appreciate and enjoy each others talents and to support each other. When we started (way back when,) we met in person. Since mid-March 2020, we have been meeting via Zoom. We hope to begin meeting in a hybrid manner (Zoom and face to face) as soon as it is safe to do so. We begin our session (7:05-7:30p) with a lesson of the week presented by one of our participants. Then (7:30-9:00,) our leader Scott Pacitti guides us through improv games/activities/scenes/short form improv & long form improv. We perform shows on occasion and welcome everyone to participate and attend them. (Again, in the short term we do so online, but hope to do so face to face again soon as health guidelines allow.) We promise that our sessions will provide environments of safety and trust. We will never force anyone to do anything that they don't want to do. Let let fear keep you from participating. You will soon be smiling, laughing and having a ton of fun. If you have any questions, reach out to Scott Pacitti @[masked] or [masked] We look forward to meeting you and enjoying your talents.
