Voice is emerging as a critical modality for engagement, with the potential to match mobile in its transformative capacity, and Amazon’s Alexa is leading this way. In this session, you’ll hear about Atrium Health’s journey so far in voice, from past failures in initial attempts to design a voice experience to the latest collaboration with Amazon to introduce one of the first HIPAA-compliant Alexa skills in the country. We’ll discuss the infrastructure that has to be in place. We’ll cover the process of designing for voice interactions and how it’s different from – and similar to – skills that you already have. We’ll also touch on chatbots and how designing chat interactions is similar to designing for voice.
