Digital accessibility in action: a how-to
PLEASE NOTE: This event has been postponed to Tuesday, August 21. Every website and the documents you deliver on your site require accessibility features so that all users can enjoy the content. Learn how to check your site for accessibility and start to fix any issues. The presenter, Phil Daquila, is a web development project manager at UNC-Chapel Hill Information Technology Services and a photographer and video producer. He is a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) and a champion for making all websites accessible to all users. Phil will demo accessibility checks for the web and for PDFs. Whether you attended Phil’s July 18, 2017 presentation on digital accessibility or this will be your first time hearing about digital accessibility, Phil will provide helpful information to attendees of any knowledge level. Please join us for this valuable presentation . Now for some housekeeping details: The cost is $5 cash, which goes toward paying the Meetup web page fees and the meal of the presenter. Attendees are expected to buy at least a drink or a food item at the restaurant and to contribute to the server's tip. (Please, please, please pay your fair share.) If you realize you're not going to be able to make it after all, please change your RSVP to "no" or send Kelly a message as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you!

What we're about

Let's get together and explore topics in small business marketing with social media, online marketing and more. The internet is so huge, pooling what we know and bringing others up to speed helps us all, and Chatham County, NC. We meet in Pittsboro or southern Chapel Hill, once a month, on Monday or Tuesday nights at 6 p.m. at various eateries in Chatham County. We enjoy beverages and dinner during the group presentation. We're organized and we're looking to learn and have fun.
