It seemed from the last meeting that the "Hodgepodge" video idea (variety of "hotseat" questions taken from member's suggestions) was perhaps not the best. It seemed a bit fractured and difficult to know where to go with the discussion after the video. With that in mind, I think the best idea is to take a direction from the member's requests and develop it into a topic to aide the focus of the follow up discussion.
One of the members has made the suggestion that we could learn more about what Abraham has to say on the topic of meditation since we made the decision to start the meetings with Abraham's Guided meditation CD. I thought that sounded like an excellent idea since so many have asked questions about Abraham's style of meditating and specifically the Guided Meditation CD that they created.
Here are the questions we will explore this time:
Why only 15 minutes of meditation?
If you don't have time to meditate?
Have you discovered the power of meditation?
Meditating is starting to feel too peaceful
Abraham's Guided Meditation is the big one
Getting Into the Vortex: Guided Meditations CD and User Guide
We've started the last three meetings with the Guided Meditation. We will do that again this time, but this will be the last time for those 15 minute segments. I'm bringing copies of the four meditation CD to pass out to anyone who attends so you can listen to them at home. If it's decided that the members like to start with the quiet time/meditation at the beginning then we can listen to 5 or 10 min of their "music only" meditation.
I've shared a PDF doc that has listed all of the questions on all of the Abraham videos. (I'll e-mail it to you if you e-mail to ask for it. You can also find it here: http://files.meetup.com/1624461/Abraham%20Questions%20for%20Videos.pdf). I'm taking requests so that you can decide what we learn about at the meetings. Just send me a list of whatever looks good to you and I will incorporate them into the meetings.
~ I need more suggestions, so look it over and send me your requests. ~
Come and join us as we all learn together!
