Join ranger/naturalist Holly Taylor for a 5 to 6 mile out-and-back hike in the Collins Gulf, part of Savage Gulf State Natural Area/South Cumberland State Recreation Area.

This hike will showcase some absolutely beautiful rock formations in both the sandstone and limestone layers of the Cumberland Plateau as well as some stunning water features such as Suter Falls, Horsepound Falls, and Fall Creek Sink. There are lots of rocks and roots along this hike as well as some moderate elevation change so please come prepared with plenty of water, food, and sturdy footwear.

On TN Hwy 108 in Gruetli-Laager, watch for the small brown "Collins West" sign at 55th Avenue. Turn left and follow 55th Ave. to the end (2.7 miles). The parking area and trailhead are directly in front of you.
