I'd love to attend! What kind of characters are already in the session?

I play a gnome cleric. We also have a wizard, barbarian, druid, monk and a few others.

DDAL is an organized play system, which means you can play your character in any DDAL event. It also means you may find players who come and go based on their personal schedules. I would recommend playing what you want to play. All characters start in DDAL at level 1, and progress through play. All adventures that the character play are logged on an Adventure Log that you keep with the character. If you find that the character you make is not what you enjoy playing, you can rebuild it as many times as you wish between adventures up to level 4. We have about 10-12 players who attend, and we seat two tables to allow variety of play. To see what is being offered each week, check out our listing on https://www.warhorn.net/events/east-tn-gamers

We are cool with new players regardless of experience. If you know how to make a character with the 27-point build from the PHB, then feel free to make a character prior to the meetup. I am usually available for anyone who needs help creating a character on Wednesdays at the store from 6-7:30 pm. If you are not comfortable creating a character, you can try playing a pre-generated character to start. It can be rebuilt anytime between adventures before you reach level 5.

Thanks Kevin, I'll do my best to build a character beforehand if you don't mind looking it over real quick before to make sure I didn't mess it up. I have dice and my PHB so I guess that's all I need to bring. Look forward to adventuring with y'all!

Hey folks, new to the game and new to the scene. Are you cool with someone new dropping in on your campaign? I suppose I should show up with my character built already?
