VIP NYE BASH - Ringing in 2013

Hey Winos!

We're going to end 2012 with a bang...VIP style of course, with hook-ups in every direction for a super fun, safe and affordable NYE celebration! Complimentary glass of wine AND champagne toast, deep discounts on wine, bubbles, beer and cocktails, a DJ, FREE parking, and sweet specials on dinner, rooms and morning-after breakfast. Check out all the different Winos-only discounts we'll be getting and then pick and choose any optional add-ons you want to take advantage of:

WINOS ONLY PRIVATE VIP PARTY: Starting at 9pm, we'll be kicking the evening off with a complimentary welcome wine. We've got the entire lounge, pool deck (with heaters and firepits) and Great Room reserved for you to mix and mingle, with DJ Sachamo spinning some tunes so you can get your boogie on. There will also be a complimentary champagne toast and party favors, and 2-3 satellite bars set up with the following specials:

  • $6 wines and champagne by the glass
  • $4-$5 cocktails
  • $4 draft beer

***Please bring your PayPal receipt to the registration table when you arrive*** Upon check-in, you will receive a free parking voucher for the parking garage. RSVP by Monday, December 17th to get the special discounted price of $25. Event fee will increase to $30 for RSVPs received after this date. At-the-door event fee will be $35.

OPTIONAL 3-COURSE DINNER FOR $20: Arterra is offering a serious discount to Winos who'd like to enjoy a delicious dinner before the festivities begin. Reservations can be made for any time between 5pm-10:30pm by calling[masked] or through their Open Table website. The full menu with item descriptions of their award-winning food is listed on our Discussion Board. Bring your PayPal receipt for the dinner. If you are attending the party, an extra $20 gets you:

  • 1st Course - Choice of Lobster Bisque, Organic Greens, or Bacon Wrapped Dates
  • 2nd Course - Choice of Grilled Tenderloin, French Chicken Roulade, or Sea Bass, with an option to add a Tahitian vanilla butter poached lobster tail half for $7
  • 3rd Course - Choice of Pumpkin Cheesecake, Chocolate Flourless Truffle or Cranberry Apple Torte

OPTIONAL VIP CABANAS: For those high-rolling winos, there are 3 private cabanas available for bottle service reservations. The cabanas will hold up to 10 people and bottle service includes your choice of one bottle (vodka, rum, tequila), mixers and a complimentary bottle of Champagne served at 11:45pm for toast (available any time upon request). Cost is $300 total and must be reserved through Josef ([masked] or[masked]).

DISCOUNTED ROOMS AND MORNING AFTER BREAKFAST: Winos and their guests will get special room rates for the evening (or two evenings if you like!)...just $119/night (normally $139-$209). Room reservations can be booked by clicking on this link for the special Winos-only rate. Hit the 'find' button at the top of the Marriott webpage and you'll see the discounted rate on the right-hand side of the page. Then book away! A morning-after breakfast buffet, including bottomless mimosas, will be held in the Great Room from 8am-11am for just $20pp.

    Enjoyed New Year's eve with the Winos R Us. Dance floor was full of people.
    For next year, I would recommend a master of ceremonies instead of the DJ.
    Some of us would have liked to have toasted to the New Year, and I believe the option to toast somewhere in the venue never happened?

    hate to post another comment, but people aren't tracking Discussion Board, so here goes:

    DINNER RESERVATION for 6:30 is FULL
    Those who are at the table have been notified by email, or their names are on the list in the Discussion Board.

    Arterra has been given the list of names and NO ONE not on the list will be seated, unless there is a no show at the last minute. Please don't make me be the bad guy and just show up, expecting to be seated. Arterra has graciously accommodated our large group and is setting a table with specific number of seats and staffing accordingly. Out of respect for the restaurant and others who've tried to get in at the last minute, please be on time. BIG thanks to Arterra for all their help in making this happen.

    For those of you who prepaid an early bird rate, check-in will be by the name on the PayPal account. No problem if you and your guest(s) arrive at different times...just give their name to the person at the check-in table. If you are planning on having dinner at Arterra, remember to bring your PayPal receipt to show your server so you get the dinner for $20 instead of $55. Please contact one of the organizers directly if you have any further questions.

    If you have any friends who want to join us tonight, there is plenty of room (venue holds up to 350). They will just have to pay $35 at the door. See you tonight!

      I know we can pay at the door if we don't have a Paypal account. The point is that we would have prepaid to get the discounted rate if we did. Would we still get the discounted rate of $30 or would it be the door price? It's only fair since we are letting you know now. Not everybody has a Paypal account and you should maintain a list of the people who are letting you know early.

    I just talked to Marriott. It would be better/easier for them if we reserved one big table for 10-12 and then just each individually joined that. That way, we can all sit together, and it takes fewer tables, less space, and is easier for staffing. I have a call into Karen that its OK to make this chanegover, and i'm happy to take care of all the details.

Your organizer's refund policy for VIP NYE BASH - Ringing in 2013

Refunds offered if:

  • the Meetup is cancelled
  • the Meetup is rescheduled

Additional notes: if refund is requested by 10pm on Sunday, December 23rd

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.

Regardless of the refund policy set by the organizer, Meetup may issue refunds on an organizer's behalf if we determine that Meetup's Payment Policies have been violated.
