Recipe Re-Use and Orchestration

Let's try writing re-usable recipes, using Berkshelf 3 to package them up into cookbooks, and hooking them into orchestration systems. If our minds aren't too full, we can talk in the stratosphere about orchestration patterns, have a look at what we can find about Push Jobs, and compare them to the OpenCrowbar team's favorite: "Simulated Annealing"

Judd Maltin has been an Internet Technology specialist for over 20 years. He's obsessed with DevOps, Orchestration, and creating new tools, algorithms and processes to make both cloud and legacy operations understandable, flexible and safe.

Hey everyone. Sorry for taking so long but the person who filmed the video took a bit long to get it to out to me. I noticed some slight issues with how they filmed but for the most part all of the talk was recorded.

I had never heard of the Raft protocol before. This is really great stuff. Thanks, Judd.

Here are the core principles we're using to build Crowbar. We call it FuncOps:

    Attribute Injection
    Simulated Annealing
    Late Binding
    Emergent Services

It would be great if this presentation is recorded. There are people who have last minute cancellation but really want to learn and benefit a lot from this....
Also, would be great if slides can be put up... Pl. let us know….

Hey Judd - looks very interesting. Planned on coming but we'll be in southern NJ late in the day & have to be in Philly the next day. I'd love to see your slides (or anything reproducible) later!

I would like to 2nd the request for recording, if at all possible. I'm especially interested in the Orchestration topic as I think it's not covered nearly as much as it should be. What are some resources you may be covering on orchestration patterns?

This sounds like a good talk, but I have a company outing to attend this same night. Any chance this will be recorded or at least the slides be made available?

Hey Michael let me check with some guys in the office and see if we can get this recorded for you. I will let you know thanks!
