This hike will take place near the Indian Boundary Campground. There may be ice formation, so bring your ice grips and a camera for icicles. Directions to the carpool location from Cleveland: head east on U.S. Highway 64, to U.S. 411 in Ocoee. Take the exit ramp and then turn left, going north on 411. Continue north, going through Benton, across the Hiwassee River, and into Etowah. After a few blocks, you will see the intersection with State Highway 310. Turn right on 310 (Mecca Pike). Continue on 310, until it becomes Highway 39 (310 will turn north). Stay straight, continuing on 39 until it dead-ends into Highway 68 in Tellico Plains. Turn right on 68 and go a block or two, past the Hardee’s off to the left. Then turn left on Highway 165, the Cherohala Skyway, and go a couple of blocks. You will see the Cherohala Skyway Visitor’s Center on the left. Park in back of the Visitor’s Center.
