A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?

Yes

Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.

One lesson at LL Bean, Columbia.

What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.

Red Tsunami 145 w/rudder.

Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?

I've been feeling an inexplicable desire to become closer to nature. Kayaking seemed like a great fit .... and fun, as well!

What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?

I would like to explore the awesome lakes and waterways of Maryland and VA. Eventually, I would like to learn more about sea kayaking. It looks challenging ..... and a bit dangerous. At my age, I think I still have enough of an intrepid spirit to still give it a go.

Introduction

Hello, I used to drop by LL Bean all the time and browse. I was fascinated with kayaking and talked with Chuck a few times about a purchase. He mentioned the Tsunami 145. 2 yrs later, and after one lesson, I purchased it! Hope I can join you guys
