Introduction to the School of Living Community Land Trust Model
with Karen Stupski and Herb Goldstein
Saturday, April 6, 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Followed by a vegetarian potluck dinner at 6:00 pm
Come learn about SOL’s unique Community Land Trust (CLT) model! The purpose of the Community Land Trust is to provide secure access to land for current generations and protect the land for future generations, while representing the interests of the larger community. SOL’s CLT model integrates Georgist economic principles, intentional community, ecological stewardship and education. This presentation will provide an overview of the history of the SOL CLT model, the Georgist principles behind collecting land rent, why CLT may be the best land-holding option for intentional communities, and how the CLT model promotes sustainability and social justice. The workshop is free and donations are welcome. Contact Karen Stupski at firstname.lastname@example.org or 410-357-9523 to register.
