Achieving Quality in a Mobile World

In today's rapidly evolving landscape of mobile devices and technology, testing needs to adapt to keep up with the change. We discuss why testing in a mobile world is different from more traditional software environments, what tools and techniques can help you achieve your quality goals, and how you can plan your test efforts to account for these factors.

We'll briefly touch on analytics and determining the scope of a mobile test plan. We'll be primarily focused on performance and functional testing, but will also speak about the importance of unit testing and automation. Build distribution and access will be covered, and we will discuss methods to control your mobile environment to meet your testing needs. This includes points on using a tool called Charles for monitoring service calls and performance, as well as methods of using internal tools for more efficient and thorough testing.

If you're looking to further your understanding of mobile testing tools & approaches or simply looking to meet others involved in mobile testing, this meetup is for you!

As before, please make sure you sign up with first AND last name!  Thank you!!

An amazing boilerplate project template for iOS beginners that can save weeks of development.

Lots of great information. The Charles Proxy tool for testing comms looks really useful.
Thanks to Solstice for organising another great meetup.

Doesn't look like (my) yesterday's post provided much info. So, if you are interested in learning more about mobile app testing, taking a deeper dive into solutions others have implemented or you're just curious or interested in the subject, please check us out at the Chicago Mobile App Testing group -

And much thanks to Gregg (and the gang) for carving out time to bring attention to Quality and Testing.

Hopefully, CMAT can keep the discussion alive within the mobile development community.

Doing a quick search, I believe this is the tool (Charles) referred to in the meetup description. Please correct me if I am wrong.

We use Fiddler ( I'm curious how the two differ.
