Google I/O and Apple WWDC Recap!!!

This month's meetup features a Google I/O and Apple WWDC Recap on Thursday, June 27th, at 5:30 pm. The meetup will feature a panel of attendees from both events to provide a summarized download of the hottest development topics coming out of both conferences.

If you were unable to attend either of the conferences this is your chance to get the main info you need to move your mobile initiatives forward and take advantage of all the great new capabilities coming to the iOS and Android platforms.

The panel will be facilitated by Solstice Mobile CEO J Schwan, and will consist of some of Chicago's top mobile developers that attended the conference(s).  Panel questions and a healthy discussion for all meetup attendees will be a part of this great event!

If you attended either conference and are interested in sitting on the panel, drop a note to [masked].  Panel spots are limited.

As always this meetup is free and tasty treats will be served. Join us June 27th to grow your network and your knowledge; we look forward to seeing you there!

As always, event invitations for the Chicago Mobile Meetup are limited to technical and functional mobile practitioners and enthusiasts.  Recruiters are asked not to attend this event so we can keep the networking focused on education, knowledge exchange and thought leadership.

Whether you are creating an iOS app yourself or outsourcing, it is always better to follow certain industry standards so as to save considerable investment and time down the line. Once such template can be found at: http://www.binpress.com/app/ios-boilerplate-and-template/1597

Loved the panel discussion. I'll definitely attend the next Meetup.

On a side note, I spoke to a few people about a Meetup group geared towards mobile app testing. Since I didn't get to talk to everyone about it, please feel free to join up. While it's not as glamorous as development, there should be some good discussions regarding all aspects of mobile testing. I encourage everyone to join =)

Hello, do you know of any great resource (developer/company/tools) we can work with to help localize a reusable app framework solution we current have? Our app is mainly driven by data in MySQL database that needs to be internationalized in UTF-8 and used by native iOS and Android programs.

Take a look at : http://www.oneskyapp.... I haven't used them but they reached out to me about one of my apps and they 'looked' ok. May be worth checking out.
