For all of Chicago's depraved dames, lascivious libertines, devious dykes, and brazen babes of all kinds: The Femunch is upon us once again! We'll be at our home, Azucar, for our usual drinking, dining, deviance, and debauchery!
*NO Cis-gendered men allowed!*
We're taking submissions for the Femunch Zine, our outlet for revolutionary kink, which will be relaunching this summer in 2016! We take art, illustration, photography, erotica, poems, essays, rants, and manifestos, and more, from our personal experience and goals for our sexual community, to queer angst and gender justice, and Chicago politics. We want to hear your stories and ideas! Message us with work or a link for submissions, and follow us @Facebook.com/FemunchZine
...Do you have to be "kinky"? Nope, you just have to be down with the different and the dirty ;)
*We are doing the Femunch bi-weekly, and join our group page for event updates!
((Reminder: Please read the event description. This event is for womyn-identified and those along the gender-queer spectrum only))
We love femmes, but despite the title, we’re also all about butches, straights, trans, intersex, and gender queers! Ladies of all sexual orientations and kink roles are encouraged to come. All self identified women, and also trans-masculine/GQ friends who feel connected to the female community, are welcome. We are open to all those actively living/presenting as what trans means in their life. (Ages 18+).
The Femunch was created with the female, queer, and trans community in mind. Despite our different experiences, we’ve felt like we have more reasons to come together and collaborate for what we want to see in our kink community.
@2647 N Kedzie Ave. (Across from the Blue Line Logan Square stop) Please support our hosting business and buy drinks or food!
Wednesday, Nov. 30th, starting at 7pm and onward! Azucar is open until 2AM.
We wanted not just a safe, but also, stimulating space to get together, to create our own event based on our needs and ideals in the Chicago kink scene, and elsewhere. As women and queers, we wanted a feminist and queer empowered place to vent, chill, re-group, and make plans on our terms. We chose Azucar based on the queer support and diversity the bar and restaurant has fostered in the Logan Square community, and their approval as a safe space, both inside and with its close access to public transportation. We have the novel idea that good times, radical politics, interpersonal sexiness, and group accountability can all occur at the same time.
The Femunch is an active proponent of safe spaces in the Chicago queer community and kink scene. Munch leaders are available for any questions, concerns, and guidance:
Abusive or violating actions or language will not be permitted, and organizers will be aware of banned abusers, and we reserve the right to remove or ban harassing individuals from the event. All terms are regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and kink roles.
