Hello Chicago Film Lovers!
At our "Holy Motors" discussion group last night (which was awesome!) you unanimously suggested we talk about a western flick next month. So that's what we are going to do, on August 21st, at 7:30 PM, we are going to talk about Fred Zinnemann's "High Noon" (1952), starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. I am glad you all picked this genre, because it's probably the one I know the least about. Definitely need to expand my movie knowledge, so I'm grateful for the recommendation. Hopefully this choice is up to your standards :). So, I'll leave you with a lesson from the west: talk slowly, but think quickly. Also, head 'em up, move 'em out and yeehaw!
I found a space more conducive to our meetups at Next Door Cafe, on Diversey, right next to the Trader Joes. If you don't like the new location we can go back to Argo next month. Next Door Cafe is close to the Argo Tea we usually meet at. See link for info: http://www.yelp.com/biz/next-door-cafe-chicago
