Spend quality time taking care of toddlers at homeless shelter.

This is a weekly event on Thursday nights.  The moms at the homeless shelter are attending workshops and training to gain life skills, counseling, job skills to be  self sufficient.  Volunteers are needed to watch over their little ones during the training.  There will be up to 16 children, from 1 month to 5  years old.  Volunteers will play games with the children and may do some  arts and craft projects.

Requirement: Volunteers must be kind, compassionate, patient and love to have fun with kids. A background check is performed before volunteers are approved to work with the children. Please bring a government issued ID to get approved by front desk. All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

For volunteers on the waiting list, priority and preference are given to volunteers that have served at this location previously or are familiar with children's program.  

After you RSVP, please send me a private message (Click on Wilson's picture and click on the Message button underneath my name) with your full name, email address and cell phone number and I will text you the address details.  If you want to bring a guest to volunteer, please have them register on here individually, no anonymous guest allowed. All volunteers must be 18 years or older, no minors allow.

Note: This is a protective shelter, and is unlisted. To preserve the safety of the women and children at the shelter, the address will only be email to volunteers that has signed up and has confirmed they will be coming. It is near Wrigley field Cubs Stadium, near CTA red line and bus routes. Free public street parking as well as free parking on their private lot.
