Help host Chicago's only monthly Culinary Fight Club, a cooking competition featuring local celebrity chefs and restaurant partners to fund raise for their sister organization Fight2Feed, which aims to end hunger in our community. This month's competition theme is: Chocolate!

The Mayans used it to create a ritual beverage that was shared during marriage ceremonies, providing one of the first known links between chocolate and romance.

The Latin name for cocoa—Theobroma—literally means, “food of the gods.”

Now we say there is NO better way to start out Season Six of Culinary Fight Club than with the Food of the Gods and Sharing the Love Ingredient Chocolate to Kick of this year off right!

That’s right Fight Clubbers Chocolate is the name of the game and we're not talking about no Sweet Cupcakes kind of nibbles, we’re talking Food of the Gods kind of a Bite!

Culinary Fight Club is an official qualifying event for the World Food Championship, which awards over $300,000 in cash prizes to winners each year. Each winner in the monthly Chicago competition will earn a golden ticket to compete in the World Food Championship.

This is a fun and social event with a hundred attendees, celebrity chefs and judges, live DJ music, and other interesting people from all around Chi-Town.

Volunteers are needed to help host this fun and fast paced cooking competition. We will help with load in and setup tables and food items, and do what is needed to run the contest smoothly. We will help break down and clean up after the event. This event lasts from 3 pm to 9:30 pm. Volunteer shift time is 4 hour blocks. You can come start your volunteer shift at 3 or 4 pm to help setup, or come at 5:30 pm to help with check in and break down after the event. After you RSVP, please post a message stating what time you will be coming to help. Thanks.

Any time you can give will be helpful and ultimately helps us fight hunger in our community. Proceeds from this event's raffle sale will support their sister non-profit Fight2Feed organization, which provides mobile feeding for the homeless and the hungry in our community. Volunteer spots are very limited.

You will have time to take breaks to enjoy the cooking competition and talk to the guest attendees as well. You will also get to taste the sample dishes like the official judges and vote for People's choice award.
