Turning the Page is an education and literacy non-profit in that engages parents and families as active and effective participants in their children’s educations. Community Nights are held at four of our North Lawndale K-8 partner schools with opportunities for parents, students, and school staff to get together, learn something new, build relationships, and have fun.
VOLUNTEERS assist staff in student workshops- reading books, doing art, playing games, providing small group/one-on-one support to students, help with the welcome/check-ins of families, serve dinner, and other logistical/related tasks. The time commitment is from 3:00 to 5:30 pm or 4:30 to 7:00 pm depending on the school. We will provide dinner and a brief training for each volunteer. You must be 18 years and older to volunteer. To sign-up, click the link below. It will provide all the dates for September/October/November and schools as to where you can volunteer. Just fill out the form!
