Data Analytics with Python I: An Introduction to Python

Are you interested in understanding the pattern of public transit usage through time? Curious to know how how fertilizer use has changed in the United States since World War II? Eager to find out which states file the most complaints against banks? It looks like you are interested in gaining some skills in data analytics.

Join PyLadies Chicago for a 9-part monthly workshop on data analytics. We'll be covering everything from software carpentry with Python to data visualization to hierarchical clustering techniques.

The first class is designed to introduce beginners to the fundamentals of Python, and look at the parts of the language that are specifically useful to us as data scientists.

Attendance Notes

The class will start promptly at 6pm so please be sure to arrive between 5:30 and 5:50pm in order to be checked in and prepared on time! Furthermore, the elevators to the floor will be locked after 6:15pm so be sure to arrive before then! Please enter the building through the Jackson entrance. Additionally, if you realize that you are unable to attend the event, please change your RSVP to "No" so that room can be made for other attendees!
