Hiring the right editor at the right time is one of the most important things you can do for your book. Join us on Sunday, December 6, 3:30-5:30pm at Next Door Cafe (https://www.nextdoorchicago.com), where professional book editor Carly Bornstein (http://www.carlybornstein.com) will cover the fundamentals of book editing, including:
• Why editing is so important for self-publishers
• What the different levels of editing are and where they should happen in the publishing process
• How to determine which levels of editing are best for your book
• How to find and work with great editors
Note: We're at Next Door Cafe, 659 W Diversey (https://www.nextdoorchicago.com), for this meeting rather than our past spot at the Lincoln Park Library. There is street parking in the area and public transportation is nearby.
After the meeting, we'll adjourn to Matisse pub, lower level at 674 W Diversey (corner of Halsted and Diversey) to continue the conversation over self-pay food and drinks.
