Chicago Public Library Lincoln Park Branch
Community Meeting Room
1150 W. Fullerton Avenue

Join us at our October 9 Chicago Self-Publishing Meetup to learn the fundamentals of self-publishing. We will discuss the things you should consider, decisions you will make, and actions you can take to get your book published.
6:15pm - 7:15pm Presentation: Self-Publishing Fundamentals
We’ll take a look at the entire self-publishing process, including writing, editing, cover design, interior layout, ebook formatting, print options, promotion, and more. You’ll leave this meeting with an understanding of the basic steps of self-publishing. Future meetings will explore the steps in more detail.
7:15pm - 7:45pm Open Forum
We are interested in learning what self-publishing questions and concerns you have so we’ll use the time after the presentation to talk about specific topics you’d like the group to address in the future.
If you know people who would be interested in conducting a short presentation at a future meeting on something relating to self-publishing, please send them our way.
The library is located at the intersection of Fullerton and Racine. It’s accessible by CTA bus #74 on Fullerton and is 3 blocks west of the CTA Red Line. Parking is available on the street and in the lot east of the building on Fullerton.
We will be in the library’s Community Meeting Room, which will open at 6:00pm. Our presentation will begin at 6:15pm but feel free to come a little early.
