What we're about

The purpose of this group is to survey the current landscape of urban agriculture in Chicago, discuss future implications of urban agriculture on the economy of Chicago, and look at how urban agriculture could be a driver for racial, economic and food equity.

We will look at topics within the social aspects, technologies and methods being used, as well as the approaches. Expect talks on:

- food justice and the role of urban agriculture
- food systems in policy and government
- hydroponics
- aquaponics
- vertical farming
- indoor growing
- urban agriculture entrepreneurship

You should join if you:
- are interested in urban agriculture
- know nothing of urban agriculture
- work in urban agriculture
- want me to keep typing urban agriculture

Our events will vary from mixers, to presentations and symposiums. These events will serve as a catalyst to a more cohesive and inclusive discussion around urban agriculture.
