CWIP Fall Kickoff with Joy Triche
Please join us as we kick off the programming year with a fun night of celebration and inspiration at Catalyst Ranch, a creative event space (and woman-owned business!) on September 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We are thrilled to welcome Joy Triche as our keynote speaker for the event. Triche is the founder of Tiger Stripe Publishing, a Chicago-based independent publisher of children’s books whose mission is to develop high-quality products that celebrate underrepresented people and to increase the number of diverse books available to all. She will share her story of nearly two decades in the publishing industry and speak to how we can all spark change in our communities and lives. Come for an evening full of engaging conversation and a cool swag bag. Registration Rates: CWIP Professional Member: $25.00 CWIP Student or Senior Member: $20.00 Nonmember: $35.00 Cancelled registrations will not be refunded after September 11. What we're about

Chicago Women in Publishing (CWIP) is a paid trade organization you may join by clicking here: http://www.cwip.org/joinnow.html . Joining CWIP is much more cost effective than paying nonmember pricing for events. This page is simply the Meetup group for that organization, and while nonmembers may attend most CWIP events for the nonmember price, some events are CWIP-members only.

Don't let the name fool you. CWIP is not just for people in Chicago, it's not just for women, and it's not just for people in publishing. Please join us for one of our Wednesday night educational events and see what we're all about.

Chicago Women in Publishing (CWIP) is a nonprofit volunteer organization formed in 1972 for professionals in the publishing industry and allied fields.

Our purpose is to explore and improve the status of publishing professionals, to assist members in greater professional achievement, and to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas. CWIP offers programs, services, and networking opportunities to advance publishing careers. Membership is open to women and men who support CWIP's goals. Our aim is to be Chicago's most respected source of publishing education, information, outreach, leadership, and career opportunities.
