It is one of the closest and really enjoable parks in South Wisconsin. We will hike and boating.
A group campground is situated just on the north tip if Scuppernong trail system. Use Ice Age trail to Connect to yellow trail of Scuppernong system and then follow trail blazers. Ice Age Trail goes just behind our site but for easy access follow driving circle to the most far part of it and you will see an entrance to the trail and maps!
Ottawa camp ground is 5 miles south and has beautiful beach! It has showers and small store. You may bring lounge chair to enjoy!
For kayaking lovers, there are many small lakes around! Last year some campers went on Rice lake and liked it much. Also on the map I found Upper Spring Lake has a boat launch and lake has creek connecting to Lower Spring Lake! It might be interesting.
It is still mosquito and tick season. Bring lot of propellant, torches, candles, nets that small creatures won’t destroy your enjoyment!
On Saturday night as a tradition, we should have pot luck! You may bring a dish to share, or cook something on the grill! Just please keep in mind and keep your food cool all the time!
If you have any else to add to enhance our time, please post and share your thoughts!
