Where is the coolest place you've ever camped? What is your favorite campgrounds?

El Cap, Yosemite Valley back in early 80's era. Also off trail in depths of Grand Canyon from years ago...3 weeks in the Beartooths of Montana,,and endless mountain campsites.

Do you perfer group campsites or getting individual campsites? Do you perfer food included or bring your own? What about having potluck?

A little of any listed. Group sites allow for a nice big fire and gathering for dinner. Then again some enjoy the privacy of a smaller campsite and individual family eats. Potluck works IF we bring it fresh for that first night's dinner.

How far are you willing to travel to camp? How many days should the trip be?

Less than 100 miles for a weekend outing please. Can't go away for long trips right now.

Do you own an RV? Do you tent camp? Do you perfer sites with electricity? Are showers at the campground a must?

Showers are nice. Toilet building more important though. Tents only, not into RV 'camping' as I don't really call that camping. Electricity is not needed, primitive sites are nice.

Please suggest a camping trip or a outdoor adventure for the group (include details like the location and a good month for the trip).

Outdoor winter Starved Rock cabin rental would be nice. Other close by winter heated cabins less than 2 hours away from Tinley.
