Dinner at Viaggio Ristorante

With 4.5 stars on Yelp, Viaggio Ristorante is now on my short list of Chicago restaurants to try!

"
Viaggio in Italian translates to "journey" and this ristorante intends to take their guests on a culinary journey of the regions of Italy, while incorporating the familiarity of American dining. Executive Chef Victor Purdue moved from Vic's on Main to open this new Italian-American casual dining restaurant with “fresh” being the key component to his concept. Purdue is delivering on his promise to bring fresh authentic Italian cuisine to Madison street, a few blocks from the United Center. Inspired by his love for Southern Italian culture and over thirty years of cooking in Italian restaurants, Purdue has very specific requirements for his food and cooking methods at Viaggio. "Using simple, fresh and high quality ingredients are the most important components to the dishes I create," says Purdue. Making everything to order, Purdue concentrates on perfecting each dish. "I change the water for each pasta order. I don’t cut an eggplant until it’s ordered." - Viaggio Ristorante

Eggplant Stack - Lightly breaded and pan fried, stacked with fresh Mozzarella and Vine Ripe Tomatoes topped with an Arugula salad

what happened. I go there at 7:15 and the owner said you where there. I waited and then I ordered dinner. it may be best that we have each others phone number so that we can text and get communication right and timely.

Whatttt!!!! I got there at 7:20. Looked everywhere for you. I wasn't expecting you to be there. Asked the maitre'd and he said that there was no Meetup Group or anyone woman by herself!!! Because of the traffic, what was supposed to be a 20 minute drive, became a 45 minute drive! I am sooo sorry. My number is[masked]
