About Tuesday's Geo-Networking: 6-8pm

Hello Geo-Networkers,

We're really excited about CGN's first Geo-Networking event, and hope that you are as well. We anticipate being at Kasey's Tavern from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, facilitating conversation and getting to know you all.

How To Find Us!

Look for my (Andrea's) green cardigan! Kasey's Tavern is a small bar so you should find us fairly easily.

What To Expect

This initial meetup will be a casual meet and greet and a great opportunity to connect with others in Chicago's GIS community.  Tina and I are also hoping to touch base with you all and get an understanding of the types of topics and speakers which would be of interest for the group. This will be especially helpful as we start planning our December meeting which will be focused around a topic.

Future Meetups

Geo-Networking events will act as an in-person discussion group, focusing on sharing our knowledge, and developing skills and best practices. There will be a strong emphasis on building a diverse network of GIS professionals and enthusiasts across all fields including: urban planning, business, environmental, transportation, health, utilities, programming, etc.

The success of the group will depend heavily on member participation. Your input will help us lead the direction of future meeting content.

It is our intent to have future events in spaces which are more conducive to speakers; if you know of an available space, or are interested in hosting a meeting, please let us know.

See You There!

Thanks in advance to everyone who is participating! We're looking forward to learning about your work and experience with GIS!
