Horseback riding may also be made available for an additional fee.
After a buffet dinner Saturday night enjoy a roaring campfire, drink liquid refreshments, roast marshmallows for s'mores, and enjoy great camaraderie with your fellow campers. Sunday you will have complimentary breakfast and then experience the the thrill of shooting down the wild Wolf River!
Here is a list of items you will need:
Fix your hair & makeup as if you were going swimming, since you will get wet. Wear a 2 piece swimsuit with shorts & tshirt or tank top over it, or nylon/polyester workout clothes (jeans or cotton clothing holds water, makes you cold and gets heavy), with river shoes or old or cheap gym shoes that will stay on your feet (flipflops get lost if you fall in the water), and bring a beach towel and dry change of clothes & shoes in a small totebag.
Bring toothbrush & toiletries. There are sinks, toilets & showers on the campground so you can wash up both days. The showers require QUARTERS. Bug spray & waterproof sunblock are a good idea. Bring snacks & drinks if you like, the company will provide dinner the first night and breakfast the next morning. You will need money for lunch on Sat, and dinner on Sunday.
Wear casual outdoor clothes with a hoodie or light jacket in case it is cool the night before. Sunglasses with a strap. A flashlight. You will need a tent(unless you are sharing) a tarp to go on the ground under your tent, sleeping bag & small pillow, pajamas(long john thermals are good if a chilly night is forecasted). Bring a pad or air mattress for under your sleeping bag if you like- your back will thank you!
There is free overnight street parking on residential side streets near Discovery Center, but allow time to circle the block a few times to find a spot. We will meet at 6:30a to meet & greet and sign waivers. Host Robin T will have a meetup sign and nametag [masked]. Trip will leave from the Discovery Center at 7:30am Saturday morning. Come early for coffee & donuts. If you are late you may miss the bus! We'll return approx 10:30pm Sunday evening.
IMPORTANT: If you must cancel, you must notify their office at least 3 days prior to the trip in order to receive a class credit voucher.
