Get involved in the CJUG Adopt-A-JSR effort! We're fortunate to have local author, speaker, and JSR-372 Expert Group member Josh Juneau to come in and lead our first session of the year covering the new and improved JSF spec. We'll also briefly be covering how you can get involved in the JCP process so if you're looking to get more involved in defining the language don't miss this opportunity. We will have 2 tracks of work that attendees can choose from based on your interests:
1) I want to learn JSF!
For this track we will be building a simple application that contains a few basic JSF views. If you're interested in JSF and you'd like to learn how to use it, then this is the track for you. You'll also be helping the expert group by providing feedback on what you liked and what you think could be better, using the latest features that are slated to become part of JSF 2.3. Beginner feedback is priceless!
2) I want to hack JSF!
So you know a little bit about JSF and you want to know what makes it tick! This track is all about the framework itself. We'll be hacking the implementation and building it from scratch. That's right, you'll have your own personal JSF project to do your bidding. This track is a great way to start experiencing what the JSF component library developers and folks on the expert group do when they are putting together the reference implementation (RI). Fix bugs, or build new features. Hey maybe you could catch the expert group on the next go round!
