SpringOne Tour will be in Chicago on August 28-29 (https://springonetour.io/2018/chicago). Thanks to our resident Spring Batch Leader, Michael, who has assembled a panel of experts from different Spring project teams to answer all of the questions that you have about Spring. So please bring your questions with you that evening.

Josh Long

Josh Long is a Spring Developer Advocate at Pivotal. Josh is a Java Champion, author of five books (including O'Reilly's upcoming "Cloud Native Java: Designing Resilient Systems with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Cloud Foundry") and three best-selling video trainings (including "Building Microservices with Spring Boot Livelessons" w/ Phil Webb), and an open-source contributor (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud, Activiti and Vaadin).

Andrew Clay Schafer

Andrew, Pivotal Senior Director of Technology, has been a consumer and contributor to open source for many years. He is always up for an adventure with a broad background contributing to technology and business efforts. As a co-founder at Puppet Labs, followed by working in and around the CloudStack and OpenStack ecosystems, he gained a lot of perspective on building open source businesses and communities. Sometimes he has been known to talk about devops and organizational learning.

Jon joined the Spring Team in 2017 and works on Spring Metrics and Spring Cloud. Previously, he was a member of Netflix's Engineering Tools Team working on various automated refactoring, build, and dependency insight tools.

Michael Minella

Michael Minella is a software engineer, teacher and author with over a decade of enterprise development experience. He is the project lead of Spring Batch and a member of the expert group for JSR-352 (java batch processing). Michael is the author of Pro Spring Batch from Apress and the popular Refcard JUnit and EasyMock. Outside of the daily grind, Michael enjoys spending time with his family as well as hobbies including woodworking, photography, and InfoSec.

Mario has worked in software for startups and large financial services enterprises alike working across the stack from server/network design to application design. He's professionally written software to entertain, bring people together, and drive businesses using technologies like Linux/Solaris,SQL/NOSQL,AWS/SALT,Spring/J2EE. Mario is confident that the future of cloud computing belongs to Pivotal and the Spring team for some time to come. A longtime open-source champion, Mario is co-author of Apress' Pro-Spring Integration, as well as a contributor to the Spring and Integration projects.
