Jazz Fans,

Come on out for a rare Sunday afternoon meetup to Joe & Wayne Segal's Jazz Showcase (http://www.jazzshowcase.com/) to see jazz superstar, Diane Schuur.

Diane Schuur is an American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) jazz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz) singer and pianist. Nicknamed "Deedles", she has won two Grammy Awards, headlined many of the world's most prestigious music venues, including Carnegie Hall and The White House and has toured the world performing with such greats as Quincy Jones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quincy_Jones), Stan Getz, B. B. King, Dizzy Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, Ray Charles, Joe Williams and Stevie Wonder.

Unlike a lot of our previous meetups that often occur on Friday or Saturday nights, we're going to do something a bit different this time. Here are the details:

Date: Sunday, April 21st

Time: The show starts at 4pm but we will not have reserved seating. Please meet me in the lobby of the Jazz Showcase by 3:40 at the latest. If you just can't make it by that time then look for us hopefully near the front.

Parking: There is a lot at the end of Plymouth Court that is inexpensive. Also a parking garage on State Street. Limited Street parking but it is metered.

Cover Charge: $35

Food: The Jazz Showcase does not serve food. Full drink menu available. If there is interest we can go to Bar Louie after the show.

********************************************************************************

Once again due to the lack of reserved seating this is a limited attendance event. If you sign up you are expected to attend. Change your RSVP if your plans change but do not be a "no show."

Some of you have earned a strike for previously not showing up. Please avoid being suspended from the group.
