The celebrated Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz (http://explorechicago.org/city/en/things_see_do/event_landing/special_events/dca_tourism/Made_in_Chicago.html) concert series returns to Millennium Park (http://explorechicago.org/city/en/millennium.html) Pritzker Pavilion.
Chicago vocalists Dee Alexander, Frieda Lee and Spider Saloff celebrate Ella’s 95th Birthday with original arrangements of music by Gershwin, Kern, Ellington, Arlen, Mercer, Berlin, Porter, and Jobim from the legendary Songbook recordings Ella made in the 1950s. The singers and the CJO, expanded to an orchestra including 17 strings, honor Ella Fitzgerald's unique contribution to American culture.
