Whether you are a for-profit or non-profit startup, you need to think about money. Join our panel to learn the following:

-- Non-profit doesn’t mean non-revenue
-- How to decide whether you are a non-profit or for-profit company.
-- How capital and fund raising are similar / how investors and donors are similar
-- Creating a revenue stream to support your non-profit
Working with non-profit clients – even if you are for-profit

Our panel consists of
-- Rene Alvarado, Director of Good City Chicago
-- Brandeis Meva’a, Co-founder and CEO of Source Digital
-- Eric Lannert, Program Director at Digital Youth Network, DePaul University

Networking over food and adult refreshments starts at 5:30, and the program begins just a bit after 6. We hope to see you there!

The meeting was interesting and the information shared was very educational. The audience's interest was sparked and their involvement in the forum was exciting.

The questions were right on point, making for a great platform to disseminate the information to the attendees in a clear and concise manner. The panel was very knowledgeable and did not mind sharing their experiences and successes with the attendees. After the meeting, they made themselves available to the group for personal acquaintance and consultation.

I've had the privilege to meet some great people who are willing to help to reach the company's goal.

Deb did an excellent job, as moderator.

The food was great! Thank you.

I am unable to attend, but will this be filmed and put online somewhere? If not, are there materials (a Powerpoint, speakers' articles on the topic, etc) that we can look at for reference?

Hi Allison, this is a panel discussion so there won't be any materials and we don't film the meetings. We'll look forward to seeing you next time.

Looking forward to this but may be a little late arriving as I will be working until 5:45 and driving in from Oak Park in Rush hour traffic.

Can't make this week but plan to make future monthly meetings. As anyone involved in a startup knows funding can be elusive.

Are there any online forums where I can get lean advice? Surprisingly, the /r/leanstartup subreddit is dead and my google searches didn't give me any good results. Thanks.

We all are not for profit hoping to change that. There is no other explanation for people getting fixed on ideas and so much attached to them regardless if there is going be ever the $ sign in the end of the way.
