What we're about

Welcome to ChicagoVeg – Chicagoland Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw Foodist Community.
ChicagoVeg is the largest Chicagoland community for vegetarians, vegans, and raw foodists to socialize and meet like-minded people. We organize a range of fun activities and educational events in the city and the suburbs. Whether you are vegan or not vegan, we welcome everyone who is interested in a vegan/vegetarian/raw lifestyle for any reason - ethical, environmental, health, or spiritual. We support a nonjudgmental community where everyone can feel welcome to express their opinions, socialize, and have fun! Some of the fun activities include the following: exchanging vegan recipes (raw and not raw), vegan food potlucks, dining out at local vegetarian/vegan/raw restaurants, lectures pertaining to the vegetarian/vegan/raw lifestyle, and outreach events that promote a vegan lifestyle. We see the importance of educating others about advantages of veganism/vegetarianism, and we believe that a continuous education and supportive community are vitally important to sustain a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle.

Join us for delicious raw food/vegan/vegetarian meals, share your favorite recipes, discuss living a healthy vegetarian/vegan/raw food lifestyle, support green/eco living, and make new friends!
Everyone is welcome!

International Vegetarian Food Festival 2022

Needs a location

Join us for the 11th Annual International Vegetarian Food Festival hosted by Elmhurst SDA Community Lifestyle Center!

Experience the taste of Chile, Kenya, Romania and more!

Cash should be exchanged for food tickets at the door: $1.00 per ticket. Credit Cards will be accepted for a small service fee.

The food booths will be located inside the Community Lifestyle Center, whereas the tables and chairs will be conveniently located outside the building by the parking lot area to avoid indoor overcrowding.

Parking: You may park on the premises or at Timothy Christian School South Parking Lot (188 W Butterfield Rd, Elmhurst, IL 60126).

We will not have a formal meetup at the event so you can come at any time during the festival. Feel free to say Hi to Vadim to get a name tag so it would be easier finding and socializing with other ChicagoVeg members at the event.

Let's come to support this great initiative, learn new recipes, taste some food, and make new like-minded friends!

Please use the "Comments" area on the bottom of the event page to offer/ask for rides and to post any questions or comments.
